Statistics: Russia’s deflation at 0.1% in August 27–Monday
MOSCOW, Sep 4 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price deflation was registered at 0.1% from August 27 till Monday after a week of zero inflation, and reached 2.4% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
Egg prices rose by 0.5% in the reporting period, millet by 0.3%, frozen fish, wheat bread, buckwheat, pasteurized milk and margarine 0.2%.
Sugar prices fell by 1.0%, noodles by 0.2%, fruit and vegetable prices fell 3.2% on average.
Gasoline and diesel fuel prices remained unchanged.
The Economic Development Ministry forecasts 3.8% inflation in 2019.
